Feb 2014 Trip to Dakak

Hi,

This post should be written right away after I get back home from Dakak but because of so many things to do and my SFC-Icon at Cagayan de Oro after I got home eh I was not able to write this. But it's better late than never, right? Hehe..so here it is.

On February 12, 2014 at 4:00 am me and my friends (Dave, Irene, Diane, Angel, Arcelli and Roceller) including the other groups was bound to travel from Iligan City to Dakak which is in Barangay Taguilon, Dapitan City which is also known as the "Shrine City" of the Philippines. It was 4-6 hours of travel, kinda far from our hometown but when we arrived at Dapitan City the tour guide let us get out from the bus and take a picture of Jose Rizal's statue that depicts  a scene which Rizal landed in Dapitan City via boat because he was exiled by the Spaniards.

We also able to get inside the St. James Church. St James church was originally constructed in 1871 under the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Juan Gelabert, S.J and completed before the turn of the century, with the people of Dapitan rendering voluntary labor and supplying free local materials.

After taking pictures of Dapitan City where Rizal was exiled, we then go to "Fantasyland" the first amusement park in the Visayas Mindano Region. It was a really nice place and a breath taking view will melt your heart away in "awe" :)

 The beach :)

The waiting hall :) Waiters & waitresses will welcome you with their delicious drink!

And now, the amusement rides. It was a free pass on selected rides but selected rides are soo many so it was really worth the price :) By the way, each of us only pay PHP 1200 for the whole trip, a minimum of 50 persons per bus. So for you to pay only PHP 1200 the total persons in each bus should be 50.

The rides!!!

The trip was really fun and we enjoyed a lot :) It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to a place like this and it's one of my dream to go to this place and the Lord Almighty grant my one wish :) I will forever treasure this one of a kind trip and still will look forward for more trips to come and by God's grace I know He will let me. I am keeping my faith and trust to God that all of my hearts desire will come true in His perfect timing. From all of the pictures above, below is one of my favorite, hehe even only a half of my face is captured, lol.

And of course, the last part is when all of our slippers was standing on the sand, hehe...

So that was it! A dream come true :) Thank You So Much Lord :) Oops, I forgot to mention that on Feb 13 at 11:00 am we depart from the place but even a 1 night only and 1 day to spent there, it was all worth it!

Till my next post,

Happy Valentines Day

Hi,

I am not supposed to write this but I kinda like it too today, hehe...

HAPPY HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

I am going to spend this day with my brother's and sister's in Christ from Single's for Christ at ICON 2014 in Cagayan de Oro City.

Every year our SFC - International Conference always falls on Feb 14th, why? For 2 years of attending this kind of event it never came to my mind of what is the reason it always falls on Valentines Day instead of any other days or month in the calendar. But when I had a travel to Oroquieta City to process our teaching application that doesn't end well, my friend Irene and I meet our Single's for Christ Brother who already live there with her wife. In our dinner together with her wife he told us the reason why it falls on Valentines Day ;) I am surprised though, hehe. He said the reason is for every single men and women not only to spend it with the Lord Almighty but to meet every single women and men delegates of the conference to know each other more and maybe find their potential love of their life...and my reaction is "Oh!really?wow!" haha...

We are encourage that we can find our potential love of our life inside the Singles for Christ community so that your faith is in line with what's best not only for the two of you but for the Lord. :)

So that's it for now, hehe. I'll write another post next week about our Dakak Escapade.

Again, Happy Valentines Everyone!!!

Cheers,

Going To Dakak

Hi,

I am just excited to write this coz tomorrow at 3:00 am in the morning I will be going to Dakak Park and Beach Resort, yay! I have friends with me, we will really enjoy for sure.

This is our first time to go at this place and were very excited to see it. I search Google on where this place is situated. And below is the result.

I live in Iligan City, do you think it's far or not? Hehe..quiet far but hey we don't care ;) ..This will be an adventure. I love travelling, if I have time and can possibly be absent on work with Boss permission of course then I will not certainly missed any travel.

Here is what I search also about Dakak Beach Resort.
Dakak Park and Beach Resort is the closest place to paradise one could ever experience, with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operating on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it anideal all-season destination for travelers.

And below is what it looks like, yay!

After I get back, I will write another post about how lovely they said Dakak is :) Pray for us to have a safe trip! Thanks!

Till next time,

Quitting Doesn't Mean Giving Up!

Hi,

I just got home this afternoon from my Plaridel, Misamis Occidental travel for 2 days. I went there to apply for a teaching position in a public school at the same time is to also accompany my friend who is also applying there. We went there at Sunday afternoon and had arrived at Oroquieta City at 7:00 in the evening. We have no clue on where to sleep over at that place since the place is new to us and we didn't know anyone there, it was a risky travel but it was a very nice experience.

Thank God one of our Single's for Christ sister send me a text message to stay for the night at Sheena's Hotel, it was not really a hotel but somewhat like an Inn. We got the room with eletric fan since it was much cheaper than the room that has an aircon, it is a room good for 1 person but has a wide bed for both of us to sleep into, so the Inn attendant said it was ok for the two of us to get it. For 12 hours it cost about Php 250, the price is not bad for 12 hours to stay. Unfortunately it has only one common Comfort Room for about 4 rooms in the upper area we are in to use, that was ok but I had a really bad experience this morning on it, arggg i am really angry on what had happened. Next time if ever, I will not stay on a room that has a common or public comfort room for the other users also to use. I will not just write here on what had happened, I will just forget it and learn from it.

Early morning on Monday we go to Plaridel, Misamis Occ to attend the Teacher's Applicants orientation. When we get there, it started at about 8:00 am and the chairman or principal of the school, by the way the name of the school is Looc National High School, announced that after the orientation we will then proceed to the interview portion. We are not shock by that since we already expected it. I am 16th of the applicants to be called for and my friend is 17th.

The interview went smoothly for the other applicants but when my name was called, I felt that I am gonna have a heart attack!lol! Well, I am very nervous and my lower neck is in red, it really goes red when I am nervous so one of the interviewers ask me if I am ok, and I said, "Yes sir, I am just nervous"..haha..a  bad point, yeah? But I am just being honest. The conversation or question and answer started. When I was ask the question of where I live, it then was the start of heated conversation, I mean I answered them directly that I live in Iligan City but they said I should have a Brgy Clearance to prove a residency of that place, eh how can I present it to them if I can't have that? So I just said, YES that I will get a Brgy Clearance but deep in my thought after I was finish being interviewed, I cannot continue with this process. So I did quit and will not come back again for the Teaching Demonstration and English Proficiency Examination. I know it was not a good move since I said to them to come back on Monday to present the Brgy Clearance but I just realized that I don't want to be hired as a result of lying. So I decided to go back to Iligan today together with my friend.

Even though the result was not good, I will still apply for a teaching position here in Iligan City and praying I will be hired or not eh I will still continue working online. Teaching was my dream since I'm young but if it is really wasn't for me, then I surrender it all to God Almighty if what is really His Will for me :)

By the way, next week I will be back for a long travel again..hehe. I will go to Dakak on Wednesday and Fri on Cagayan de Oro City.

These are the travels this year that for sure I will never forget. Hope to post some pictures of my Dakak travel on my next post here :)

Keep safe everyone and God Bless!

Cheers,
Jing
