Quitting Doesn't Mean Giving Up!

Hi,

I just got home this afternoon from my Plaridel, Misamis Occidental travel for 2 days. I went there to apply for a teaching position in a public school at the same time is to also accompany my friend who is also applying there. We went there at Sunday afternoon and had arrived at Oroquieta City at 7:00 in the evening. We have no clue on where to sleep over at that place since the place is new to us and we didn't know anyone there, it was a risky travel but it was a very nice experience.

Thank God one of our Single's for Christ sister send me a text message to stay for the night at Sheena's Hotel, it was not really a hotel but somewhat like an Inn. We got the room with eletric fan since it was much cheaper than the room that has an aircon, it is a room good for 1 person but has a wide bed for both of us to sleep into, so the Inn attendant said it was ok for the two of us to get it. For 12 hours it cost about Php 250, the price is not bad for 12 hours to stay. Unfortunately it has only one common Comfort Room for about 4 rooms in the upper area we are in to use, that was ok but I had a really bad experience this morning on it, arggg i am really angry on what had happened. Next time if ever, I will not stay on a room that has a common or public comfort room for the other users also to use. I will not just write here on what had happened, I will just forget it and learn from it.

Early morning on Monday we go to Plaridel, Misamis Occ to attend the Teacher's Applicants orientation. When we get there, it started at about 8:00 am and the chairman or principal of the school, by the way the name of the school is Looc National High School, announced that after the orientation we will then proceed to the interview portion. We are not shock by that since we already expected it. I am 16th of the applicants to be called for and my friend is 17th.

The interview went smoothly for the other applicants but when my name was called, I felt that I am gonna have a heart attack!lol! Well, I am very nervous and my lower neck is in red, it really goes red when I am nervous so one of the interviewers ask me if I am ok, and I said, "Yes sir, I am just nervous"..haha..a  bad point, yeah? But I am just being honest. The conversation or question and answer started. When I was ask the question of where I live, it then was the start of heated conversation, I mean I answered them directly that I live in Iligan City but they said I should have a Brgy Clearance to prove a residency of that place, eh how can I present it to them if I can't have that? So I just said, YES that I will get a Brgy Clearance but deep in my thought after I was finish being interviewed, I cannot continue with this process. So I did quit and will not come back again for the Teaching Demonstration and English Proficiency Examination. I know it was not a good move since I said to them to come back on Monday to present the Brgy Clearance but I just realized that I don't want to be hired as a result of lying. So I decided to go back to Iligan today together with my friend.

Even though the result was not good, I will still apply for a teaching position here in Iligan City and praying I will be hired or not eh I will still continue working online. Teaching was my dream since I'm young but if it is really wasn't for me, then I surrender it all to God Almighty if what is really His Will for me :)

By the way, next week I will be back for a long travel again..hehe. I will go to Dakak on Wednesday and Fri on Cagayan de Oro City.

These are the travels this year that for sure I will never forget. Hope to post some pictures of my Dakak travel on my next post here :)

Keep safe everyone and God Bless!

Cheers,
Jing

  1. I've experienced not coming back for the second interview even though I was scheduled to come back. I don't pursue my application whenever I feel that something's not right. Sometimes I feel that I'm just being lazy but I just don't want to fool myself and pretend that I want to be in that company.
